MY ROLE: Senior Director, Product Experience

Annexus Health is a SaaS platform that helps healthcare provider organizations proactively identify and manage financial assistance and other access services for eligible patients. They do this by connecting Life Science companies and Foundations that offer assistance to provider organizations through their technology. The platform consists of AssistPoint (for provider organizations) and APConnect (for Life Science and Foundation integrations).
When I started, the Product Experience practice was very much in its infancy, with little definition or operational acumen. As with most start ups in a very small team, we were tasked with balancing delivery alongside of future evolution in order to ensure product growth with an eye for the future.
During my time at Annexus, I led the Product Experience group across the business. Some of the key activities I was able to accomplish during my time at Annexus include:
- Worked directly with Product and Engineering leadership to define product roadmaps, and to successfully deliver QoQ product launches for the business
- Completed UX/UI audits of the applications, using Atomic Design approach that captured pattern, form, function and visual design
- Content audits for tone, voice, structure, and relevancy
- Developed personas for key customer groups for the business
- Introduced and developed baseline Figma design system, leveraging Atomic Design principles to build reusable component libraries for teams
- Developed Product Experience definitions and ways of working for team-oriented services
- Implemented intake, collaboration and project management tools/methodologies for the work allowing the business to engage for requests and to manage prioritization and delivery
- Worked within the business to understand customer needs, and to align to workflow development for solutioning
- Conducted multiple end user and internal stakeholder interviews, iterative product tests, and design thinking sessions to develop customer workflows and translate that into meaningful experiences
- Worked with Product to conduct NPS and SUS research
- Worked with Product to implement Pendo for product and customer intelligence
